Dungeon Siege II (Wednesday Gaming) x2

Sorry for the week absense, we did do gaming and I'm going to do a two week update in a single post. Here goes.

On the 25th of April, Bethany, Courtney, and Matt came expressing great interest in Dungeon Siege II. George and I set them up on a game with the three of them and showed them the ropes. Matt chose a male elf and focused in nature/combat magic. Bethany chose a female human and focused in melee combat and Bethany chose a female human and focused in combat magic. They were killing things and collecting things all over the place. While they were going threw the first few quests, I set up our other group.

Morgan (our new employee), Joe, and Mindy (friend visiting from Hawaii) played together on another server. Morgan was running an male elven ranger. Joe was running a Half-Giant fighter and Mindy ran a female elven combat mage. They too ran threw their quests quickly and with great ease.

Each set of gamers were quickly learning the ropes and leveling up. Morgan and Matt had reached 11th level. Joe and Mindy were about 9th, Bethany and Courtney were about 7th level by the end of the night. They each had a secondary character too. Bethany and Courtney had scorpions, Matt had Lothar, Morgan had a dire wolf and Joe and Mindy stayed solo.

While those two three man games ran, George and I picked up on our game with our higher level characters. I was running a male human ranger, level 26 and I had Lothar level 26 too. George was running a male elf combat mage and a female dryad nature mage. We were killing and slaying along too.

The 2nd of May, Bethany, Matt, and Courtney were back, as well as Nick. I set up the three amigos on their same game, but I changed it to allow a fourth person. Here is the draw back to Dungeon Siege II multiplayer, you can have one of the following multiplayer settings. Classic - four single player controlled characters. Party - three player controlled characters and a sub-character. Couples - two player controlled characters and two sub-characters.
I set them up to play together and showed Nick the ropes. He caught on rather quickly. They ended up learning to play together as a team really quickly. Especially when they started running into little sub-bosses that killed them as they ran around solo. I helped them work together before George and I started our game together. Morgan had to leave early so Joe played WoW instead of joing the game with George and I. (Which he wanted to do anyway, something about 65 Mage and 25-man raid :-D).

Through out the night, Bethany was crushing many little minions of evil with her critical while Matt and Courtney froze and fried them. Nick joined in the fray with both fire and lightning. He ran a Half-Giant combat mage. The game raged on for most of the night and they came across a Morden captain sub-boss with a few sub-boss minions. That kept them engaged for about an hour until Courtney froze it and he blew up from the damage.

George and I ended up fighting an enraged shambling mound/tree for about 25 minutes and then fighting a Mage of Vordin for another 45 minutes. Both had 35000 + health. We won in the end and are on our way to the Snowfort Outpost.

Around 9 o'clock, Nick left and we switched their game back to Party mode and they continued for another 30 minutes or so until Matt ended up finding a camera glitch and was stuck overtop of his character's knees looking at his feet ONLY! We tried all we could to get the camera off of him but nothing helped. In the end, the just ended the server and played a few rounds of BF2142 until they had to leave.
